Travel and Accident Insurance We recommend that you buy travel and accident insurance because you will be coming to a part of the world that is still challenging, exotic in nature and therefore pristine. Our beautiful island Kingdom is a developing country and isolated. Please consider purchasing travel and accident insurance before coming to Tonga. We recommend full unlimited medical insurance to cover evacuation etc. in the case of a serious incident. This will help you relax during your visit with us should you experience a delay or loss with your luggage, flight cancelations, illness or any other eventuality.

Also, as much as the local inter-island airline is reliable, they may experience an occasional delay or an earlier departure which may cause you to miss your international connecting flight. So, if your international flight is delayed or you miss your international flight because of the inter-island airline, you will have to buy another one way ticket back to your original destination. The inter-island airline WILL NOT cover a new ticket. We suggest that you consider this situation and purchase your travel insurance so that you may have a more relaxed holiday with us. Please check with your local insurance agent.

Conditions for Whale Swim, Watch & Listening Tour
Swimming Ability

The weather in Tonga is great most of the time but there may be days when the weather may cause the ocean to become strenuous and physically challenging. So, all guests participating in our Whale Swim, Watching & Listening Tour must have a medium to average level of swimming, be agile, and confident in the deep water. All guests are required to be able to swim in deep water that may be choppy at times, with a mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit or vest being worn at all times. Also, guests will be swimming distances of up to 100 meters and will be required to climb in and out of our boat.

If our certified guide identifies that you are not able to comply with the swimming/snorkeling ability, then he/she will help you within the possibility for you to enjoy your encounter. Guests who are not confident enough to swim with whales can enjoy the Whale Watching and listening part of the tour from our boat and have a great time!

Equipment Our resort provides guests with snorkeling gear free of charge with most sizes available, but we suggest you bring your own equipment for maximum comfort.

Liability Waiver for our Activities All guests are required to sign a LIABILITY WAIVER by law in order to participate in our island activities. The waiver will be available to sign upon your check-in at the resort.
